BROCKTON, Massachusetts – Brockton Radiation Oncology Associates (BROA) recently announced that Steven C. Lane, M.D. will join their practice and provide professional services at Signature Healthcare Radiation Therapy Center on the campus of Brockton Hospital, in Brockton, MA. BROA provides all of the professional services for the radiation therapy center. Dr. Lane, a Board Certified radiation oncologist, specializes in gynecological and breast cancers and has extensive experience with Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), Intensity Modulated Therapy (IMRT) and High Dose Rate (HDR) brachytherapy.

Prior to joining BROA, Dr. Lane spent over five years as a staff radiation oncologist at the Maddock Center for Radiation Oncology in Warwick, RI. He began his professional career in 2001 as a staff radiation oncologist at Massachusetts General Hospital and Boston Medical Center. From 2001 to 2002, he served as an Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at the Boston University School of Medicine and was an Instructor in Radiation Oncology at Harvard Medical School.

“This is a tremendous opportunity for me to work with an experienced team of radiation oncologists who are dedicated to improving their patients’ quality of life,” said Dr. Lane. “I look forward to providing the most advanced cancer treatments using the new equipment now available at Brockton Hospital.”

Dr. Lane graduated with honors, earning a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology, at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Doctorate of Medicine Degree from Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, NC. He received the Howard Hughes Fellowship twice while he was in medical school. He completed an Internship in Internal Medicine at the University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill and his Residency in Radiation Oncology at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA.
